How did the most notorious murder of the Middle Ages affect the lives of a community in the north-east corner of Dartmoor for over 800 years? The Exhibition will tell the fascinating story of Doccombe Manor from its dramatic origins to its part in winning a world war.

Part of the HLF funded ‘Moor than Meets the Eye’ project, it will showcase the results of three years’ research by Moretonhampstead History Society into the manor’s ample archives, its buildings and the archaeology of Mardon Common, and its role in the building of England’s last castle.
