As part of our Inspiring the Community project aimed at the development and delivery of a programme of activities from Green Hill, we have set up a community film club that is volunteer-led to show a wide range of films. The club will offer varied, interesting and entertaining programming, bringing world cinema, classics and the very best new releases.
The Club makes it accessible to enjoy film without the difficulties of transport to Exeter or Okehampton. You may join on-line or complete a booking form available at Green Hill or the Information Centre or via the membership Secretary, Alistair Maclaurin who can be contacted on 01647 441367 / 07828 113506. Once you join you will receive monthly updates. As a member you can put forward themes for the next few showings (we have comedy and then Western coming up) and then you make your suggestions for films you’d like to see. These go into a hat, four are chosen at random and then the membership votes for the next film in that category they’d like to see.
The Club runs from the upstairs room in the youth club area of Green Hill on the second Friday of the month, doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. We sell refreshments during the film and a bar for evening performances. Do join us a become part of this warm, friendly and entertaining club.
Membership is open for members 16yrs and above with an annual membership rate of £25 per individual or a couple from the same address at £45.
