These four Widdershins artists not only share a love of myth and the magic of the natural world, but they've been close friends for more than 25 years, and have worked together in a variety of ways. Hazel, for example, has produced calligraphy for Wendy & Brian Froud's books, Marja has often modelled for art in them, and Wendy and Terri have published three children's books together (A Midsummer Night's Faery Tale, The Winter Child, and The Faeries of Spring Cottage).

In this Coffee Morning, they'll be talking about the creative power of friendship: the vital role that it plays in making art, in building families and communities, and in supporting the healing work that sustains our souls and the world around us. Ours is a society that focuses on individual accomplishment, lauding the "lone hero" or the "self-made man" -- but this discussion will celebrate the opposite: the friendship networks that support so many creative lives, especially for women.

Please come. And maybe bring a friend.....
