A comedy with heart, All is Mended is a retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream telling a new story of life in a care home about magic and remembering, resilience and forgetting, old age and young dreams.

A shape-shifting drama, funny and sad, real and dreamlike, a tale of life and death and of course love. Interwoven with extracts from our collected conversations, wisdom and memories with local elders from Devon’s care homes, their families and the staff. With just 2 actors playing all the parts, come and be away with the fairies (and Puck, Bottom & Co) for a hour or so.

The show is accompanied by our free art exhibition upstairs at Green Hill, “Old Hands @ Art”, works created by our care home residents with our All Is Mended artist around themes of love and magic and our book collecting extracts from our work in Devon’s care homes communities: conversations, poems, photos, paintings, and a sprinkling of Shakespeare’s sonnets.
