In this workshop we will look at 'place' and explore ideas about landscape. We will construct a landscape/artwork using drawings of objects that we will collect outside in the church yard next door (artist will bring some objects along if weather is bad).

We will look at shape, colour and texture and will be using drawing techniques which are not about visual accuracy as in observational drawing, but more about movement, spatial awareness, memory, using senses and instinct. This enjoyable workshop is designed to encourage experimenting, creative thinking and risk taking within a supportive environment and we will each produce a finished abstract landscape.

This workshop is suitable for beginners. Children over the age of 7 are welcome but must be booked in and must be accompanied by a paying adult. This is the perfect workshop for those who want to learn how to use materials in an experimental, thought provoking way.
