100 Summers Carnival Flag-Making Workshop
15th & 16th August, 10:00am–2:00pm
As part of the 100th Moretonhampstead Carnival celebrations, Green Hill Arts will host the 100 Summers Carnival Flag-Making Workshop – a creative, drop-in session inspired by the summer visitors who return to our skies each year: swifts, swallows, and martins.
Led by textile artist Melinda Schwakhofer, the family-friendly workshop will invite you to design and make your own flag to wave at the Carnival. You’ll learn applique and stenciling techniques, using vintage hand-cranked Singer sewing machines.
All ages and abilities are welcome. No booking needed – just drop in and allow around 30 minutes to make your flag. Free sessions and materials. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult!
